Prof Glenn Guest FRACS – Scientific Co-Convenor
Professor Glenn Guest is a General and Colorectal Surgeon who developed an interest and passion for Global Health Assistance programs early in his career when he lived and worked in Timor Leste during the early years of independence.
Having developed some skills and experience in this challenging environment, he was privileged to lead an Australian team to Banda Aceh following the Indian Ocean Tsunami, and then to Kashmir following the 2005 Earthquake.
Glenn has developed a career that continues to keep him involved with global health, and over the past 15 years he has regularly worked in Timor Leste, Indonesia and the Pacific Region. He is the current Director of the RACS Australia Timor Leste Assistance in Specialty Services Program (ATLASS). He was appointed the founding Professor of Surgery at Deakin University Epworth Geelong Hospital, and is the Director of Surgical Training for the South West Victorian Regional Training Hub.
Glenn has an incredibly supportive wife and four young children whom he loves spending time with.

Dr Sonal Nagra FRACS – Assistant Co-Convenor & Trainees' Day Convenor
Dr Sonal Nagra is a General Surgeon based in University Hospital Geelong. He has a special interest in Colorectal, Endocrine and Acute General Surgery. He is a General Surgeon trained in Fiji and has spent time working in Dunedin, Darwin and now In Geelong. He enjoys teaching and has been appointed as a Senior Lecturer at the Deakin University.
Sonal is involved with Global Health particularly in the South Pacific. He is enthusiastic about sport having played at various international sporting events including the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne 2006.

Prof Eddie McCaig – Organising Committee
Professor Eddie McCaig is an Associate Professor and Head of Department of Medical Sciences, at the Fiji School of Medicine. He is Chairman of the Fiji Medical Commission, member of ONOC Medical Commission and has been Team Fiji General Manager Sports Science since 2003. Prof McCaig also serves on the Fiji Rugby Union Medical Team; member of Fiji Football Association Medical Commission and Oceania Karate Medical Commission.
