Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon – Royal Adelaide Hospital
Dr Craig Jurisevic is a cardiothoracic surgeon at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. His main focus is on minimally invasive thoracic surgery and trauma surgery.
He has had an extensive career in conflict zone general, vascular and cardiothoracic surgery both as an individual in Israel, Palestine, Albania and Kosovo, and with the Australian Army in East Timor and Afghanistan.
Craig has worked as a volunteer trauma surgeon for five months in the Russo-Ukraine war in 2022, 2023 and he is currently three months into his third trip. Whilst in Ukraine he is involved in damage control surgery in Role 2 military surgical units, specialised cardiothoracic trauma in larger Role 3 units, and front-line tactical training of Ukrainian army medics and specialist military units..
