Dr Luke Rayner FRACS

Dr Luke Rayner graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2002 and began surgical training in 2005.
After completing specialist training in General Surgery from 2008 to 2011 in the ACT and NSW, Luke worked as the inaugural ‘General Surgery Fellow’ at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH). He spent two years in Melbourne undertaking sub-specialty post-fellowship training in Endocrine Surgery and Breast Surgery (working at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and Eastern Health).
Since returning to his home town in 2016 he has established a busy private practice while working as a Staff Specialist at the RHH. He has also taken up the role of Head of Department for General Surgery at the RHH and is the Tasmanian Younger Fellow representative for the RACS.
