Consultant General & Breast Surgeon – Cairns
Dr Angela Robson is a Queensland-trained specialist general surgeon with interest in breast, melanoma and general laparoscopic surgery. She undertook her primary medical degree at the University of Queensland, which she completed in 2005.
Angela continued to work throughout Queensland during her surgical training, at the RBWH, TPCH, Nambour and Cairns Hospitals, obtaining her FRACS in General surgery in early 2013. Her main surgical interests include benign and malignant breast disease as well as melanoma surgery, and actively participates in local Multi-disciplinary Team Meetings for both conditions.
Angela also works part-time as a staff specialist in general surgery at the Cairns Hospital, where she participates in teaching surgical trainees, junior doctors and medical students. She is the current supervisor of general surgical trainees at the Cairns Hospital, and sits on the GSA State Training Committee.
Angela shares her private practice with her husband Dr Nathan Brunott – a fellow general surgeon, and provides private outreach clinics to the Tablelands on a fortnightly basis.
